WELCOME TO PONTFADOG SCHOOL
Pontfadog Community Primary School is situated in the delightful Ceiriog Valley close to the Shropshire and North Wales border. This small rural school, with a total roll of between 55 and 65 pupils, is an integral part of the village of Pontfadog.
Pontfadog School provides pre school and primary school education for children between the ages of 3 and 11. We have a staff of three teachers and a nursery assistant, who also runs our very popular and successful After School Club. We are bound to say that Pontfadog School has an excellent reputation both in the standard of education provided and in the care and attention we show our children. BUT WE CAN, because our Ofsted inspection of March 1999 confirmed it, and any areas that fell slightly below 100% are included in action plans drawn up and monitored by the governors to make sure that the school continues to meet the high standards we set ourselves.
As a small rural school, we have a highly active and committed group of parents, teachers and friends that put in a lot of time and great effort to run and support the school. Our school PTA has been so successful in recent years that it has been obliged by law to become a charitable trust due to the amount of funds it raises on an annual basis for the school.
The current members on our board of governors boast a wealth of experience of business acumen, teaching experience and knowledge of what they want as parents to ensure that the school is managed in a professional and efficient manner, without losing the ethos of which the school is so proud.
